Pool Attendant (Winter Season) Location Sun Peaks, BC :

Imagine arriving to work at a stunning slope-side hotel after lapping one of our three mountains on your Mountain Bike or the luxurious Golf course in the mountains. Do you enjoy spending your time overlooking the mountains, we are looking to bring in a Pool Attendant for the the upcoming Summer. The Pool Attendant plays an integral role in the Guest Services Team, whose main objective is establishing a positive experience and being well looked after from arrival to the outdoor pool & hot tub and ensure a pleasant departure from their relaxation. This high visibility profiled department carries a special responsibility in one of our most highly praised amenities. The Pool attendant may be stationed inside the pool entrance to a welcoming smile as guests enter through, while supporting and assisting with directions to the pool, sauna, gym, & changerooms. Pool Attendants answer general inquiries about the hotel and resort. Greet each guest by name. The Pool attendant overlooks the rules as followed in the health and safety use of the amenities, support guests with complementary water and fresh towels, and lastly to ensures the space is kept in an tidy manner. Compensation Information: $19.85 per Hour

Physical Requirement:

Medium: Work activities involve handling loads between 10 and 20 kg; Predominately indoor setting

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Accountabilities:

Guest Experience:

  • Maintain a professional appearance and friendly presence within the guest services areas and Pool Amenities
  • Act with professionalism and provide a service standard that elevates the guest experience
  • Friendly Smile and welcoming to all guests entering the pool amenities
  • Supporting in directions around the hotel and resort
  • Act as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks Resort, as prompted by guests for direction and insight on internal and external events.
  • Interact with the guest throughout their stay
  • Drive Customer loyalty by building individualized connections with guests
  • Bell attendant and other guest services tasks as required

Health, Safety, and Security of Guests:

  • Ensure hotel pool rules are being followed by all authorized guests
  • Ensure area is kept tidy and clean and that towels are always available for authorized guests and returned prior to departure of pool amenities
  • Support in ensuring gym equipment is working
  • Overlook pool privacy and that guests entering are authorized and staying in hotel
  • Maintaining pool max capacity limits
  • Ensure hotel alcohol and food policies are up kept
  • Ensure Staff pool usage is following rules and time regulations

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience within a customer-facing role with an understanding of the guest services
  • A working knowledge of the Sun Peaks Resort and area
  • Professional communication with guests
  • Comfortable enforcing rules and hotel policies within the workplace
  • Post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field would be an advantage.
  • Professional, well organized and delights in providing exceptional guest service by anticipating guest needs with strong interpersonal skills
  • A valid BC Class 5 driver's license or equivalent
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds (34kg). Often standing and walking throughout shift with occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and ascending stairs
