Job Description

What this job involves:

The Maintenance Technician performs both preventative and corrective maintenance to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment/systems in assigned facilities. This role involves assisting Mechanics in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. The technician conducts inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, and more.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Performing HVAC maintenance including cleaning coils, changing filters and belts
• Maintaining and repairing locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and furniture
• Maintaining documentation for fire extinguishers and other building systems
• Repairing plumbing components including toilets, urinals, sinks, water heaters, and sump pumps
• Preparing, priming, and painting building interior and exterior surfaces
• Prioritizing all preventative maintenance, corrective and emergency work orders for the site
• Completing required safety trainings and hazard assessments
• Updating work order status in real time using CMMS system

Desired experience and technical skills:

Requirements:

• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, Outlook, CMMS/Maximo)
• Minimum 1 year of related experience in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
• Capability to work in adverse conditions (extreme cold/heat)
• Willingness to be available for call-in work

Preferred:

• EPA Universal License
• BAS (Building Automation Systems) experience
• Experience with preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment
