Burgess Plumbing Heating and Electrical is seeking experienced plumbing technicians to join our growing team.
As a plumber within our company, you will be responsible for service, installation, and preventative maintenance for plumbing systems in both commercial and residential settings.
This is a full-time position that requires expertise in various plumbing techniques and the ability to work independently.
Gas fitting certification is considered an asset.
Compensation rate varies depending on experience.
Relocation allowance negotiable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or potential problems
Collaborate with clients to determine their plumbing needs and provide appropriate solutions
Renovations
Estimating Small jobs
Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
Weld pipes and fittings as needed
Use power tools and hand tools to complete plumbing tasks
Perform basic math calculations to measure materials and estimate project costs
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and HVAC technicians on construction projects
Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
Skills:
Proven experience as a Plumber or similar role
Proficiency with power tools used for plumbing work
Capability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
Experience with welding, carpentry and HVAC is beneficial
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety procedures
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members
Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License
Red Seal Endorsement or 3+ year apprentice
Preferred: Class B Gas Fitter
Proven experience as an Plumbing Technician or similar role
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of Plumbing systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Excellent critical thinking skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
