About the Position

We are currently recruiting for a 3rd Class Stationary Engineer to join a dynamic maintenance team at a high-paced manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of plant utilities and equipment. This includes performing regular inspections, troubleshooting systems, and executing repairs to prevent unplanned downtime and ensure operational continuity. The ideal candidate will be confident working in a fast-moving environment and bring a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, compressors, HVAC, and refrigeration systems in compliance with TSSA standards
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance and inspections to identify and address equipment issues before failure
• Repair, install, and maintain piping systems including water, drainage, ammonia, and compressed air
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in plant utility systems
• Ensure safe handling and storage of approved chemicals used within the facility
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and communicate effectively with other departments

Qualifications

• Valid 3rd Class Operating Engineer Certificate (or Refrigeration B/Class A Operator Certification)
• Hands-on experience with boilers, compressors, ammonia systems, and piping repairs
• Proficiency with mechanical and power tools; able to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong knowledge of GMP and maintenance safety practices in a regulated environment

Location: Hamilton, ON

Salary Range: $41.00/hour
