Job Description

• After a very successful 2024, looking for a new Telecommunications Engineer to join the team in Japan.
• Manage licensing and regulatory approvals with Japan’s MIC and ensure compliance with telecommunications laws
• Oversee wireless network, planning, construction, and optimization
• Lead the entire site acquisition process, from canvassing to permitting and approvals
• Supervise external contractos, telecom operators, system integrators, and data center vendors
• In charge of the local legal entity’s telecom operations while ensuring smooth day-to-day activities
• Occasional travel across Japan when needed

Ideal Profile

Key Candidate Criteria

• Must have degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or any related field.
• Proven expertise in wireless telecom networks (4G, 5G, microwave, carrier access)
• Hands-on experience with regulatory approvals & frequency licensing
• Has project management skills with infrastructure deployment experience
• Can function as an engineer but also manager and architect
• MIC CTE Certification would be an advantage
• Fluent in English and Japanese
