ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE
As a Technical Designer, you will work on translating design concepts to ensure construction, quality and fit align with design vision and upholds brand standards. You will find creative solutions for core and seasonal collections across multiple categories including bags, luggage, accessories and headwear.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

On a day-to-day basis, the Product Technical Designer will:

• Be part of the product design process, including style creation, technical drawing and overseeing/maintaining technical files


• Create and manage complete technical packages, including detailed technical sketches, measurement specs and construction methods


• Actively collaborate with design team on the conceptual and technical development of product lines, providing ideas for construction innovation and process efficiencies


• Work closely with Product Development to ensure timely delivery of tech packs, samples, comments and approvals in alignment with production deadlines


• Provide construction recommendations regarding new concepts and edits to existing line


• Stay informed on market trends, new materials and emerging technologies.

ABOUT YOU

• Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design or related field 


• 2+ years' industry experience


• Strong background/understanding in apparel and/or accessories construction


• In-depth knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, colorways, sewing techniques, graphics and trims


• Exceptional technical drawing and tech pack creation skills


• Excellent time management, with the ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams


• Team player, able to collaborate and forge strong working relationships internally


• High degree of proficiency in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite (CLO3D is a plus but not necessary)


• Ability to multitask and respond quickly while staying on task


• Team-oriented with a passion for Herschel Supply's products and company values

YOUR JOURNEY WITH HERSCHEL SUPPLY
