Company Profile

• A prestigious global service firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Tokyo office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing finance team that supports a dynamic, international services. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the firm's financial operations in Japan, while collaborating with colleagues across the APAC region and globally.

The Role

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes in compliance with local and global accounting standards
• Manage financial reporting, statutory audits, tax filings and regulatory submissions
• Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and performance reports
• Ensure compliance with Japanese tax regulations and liaise with external tax advisors
• Drive process improvements and support finance-related projects
• Collaborate with regional finance teams and HQ to align global policies with local requirements

Your Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within international firms or professional services
• Fluency in Japanese and English (written and spoken) is required
• Strong knowledge of JGAAP and working experience with IFRS a plus
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment

• 6,000,000 yen - 7,500,000 yen
