Job Description

I am recruiting for a leading innovator in low-power wireless technology, and they are looking for an RF IC Architect to join their growing team in the Montreal area. In this role, you will work closely with the team to develop the architecture of a complex SoC that includes the RF Transceiver, Digital Baseband and an MCU.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Define SoC radio architecture covering RF transceiver, digital baseband, and MCU.
• Translate product needs into high-level specs, balancing bandwidth, sensitivity, latency, and power.
• Develop algorithms for coherent/non-coherent radios and optimise PHY control.
• Analyse trade-offs across architectures and blocks to meet power/area targets.
• Model and evaluate system metrics like link budget, SNR, PER, throughput, and spectral efficiency.
• Collaborate with ASIC, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Lead system validation and contribute to design reviews.
• Mentor team members and share technical expertise.
