Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled and certified 3rd Class Power Engineer to join our client’s operations team as a Process Operator in Fort McMurray, AB . In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing plant processes to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and thrives in a dynamic industrial environment.

We are looking for 3rd class power engineer certified process operator.

Must be local to Fort McMurray. This is not camp based FIFO role.

• Location: Fort McMurray, AB
• Shift: 6 on 6 off, 12 hours a day
• Job type: Temp Contract | Full-time hours

Responsibilities:

• Learn and adhere to the refinery’s management systems
• Work on a crew covering a qualified post within an operating unit
• Operate the refinery equipment in a safe, efficient manner according to established refinery practices, procedures and operating guidelines
• Perform preventative maintenance and trouble-shooting to maintain process equipment
• Monitor the operation and equipment for deviations
• Monitor and adjust equipment and process variables to maintain a safe and environmentally sound operation and to ensure product quality.

Qualifications:

• Must be local to Fort McMurray. This is not camp based FIFO role.
• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience working in refinery
• Must Passed the 3rd Class Operating Engineer Exams
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Mechanical aptitude to allow hands-on operation of plant equipment
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and decision making skills
• Ability to work and communicate in a team environment, with strong verbal, written and communication skills.
