Employment Type: Full-time, permanent position

Your Work Environment:

As a Maintenance Automation Engineer , you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of automated systems within a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility . You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading automation systems, PLCs, robotics, and control systems to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. Your expertise will support continuous improvement initiatives , ensuring optimal system performance.

Your Daily Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of automated systems within the facility.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in PLCs, robotics, control systems, and automation software .
  
• Upgrade and improve existing automation systems to optimize performance.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
  
• Program and configure automation software , including SCADA, HMI, and CAD tools .
  
• Analyze system diagnostics to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions.
  
• Lead and support automation projects from conception to implementation.
  
• Train staff on system functionalities and troubleshooting best practices.
  
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
  

Your Must-Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
  
• Strong expertise in PLCs, robotics, automation software, and control systems .
  
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Python, or C++ .
  
• Hands-on experience with SCADA, HMI, and CAD tools for automation systems.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and train staff.
  
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  

An Asset to Have:

• Certifications such as AWS, ISTQB, CE, ITIL, CCNA , or similar.
  
• Experience managing automation projects from conception to implementation .
  
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for automation systems.
