We are seeking a creative and results-driven  Human Resources Business Partner to join our Pandora Japan team.

Under the direction of the HR Director and dotted to the Local Country/Commercial Head the Human Resources Manager Business Partner will drive results for all human resource efforts for assigned clients. Participates in the development of human resource policies and programs including employee relations, talent acquisition, communication, talent management, compensation, payroll and other functions. Provides coaching and counselling to management, HR Generalists and employees to enhance individual contributions. This role leads the HR department and oversees the HR staff.

Your Role as a Human Resources Business Partner: 

• Deploy people solutions to build capability and deliver performance 
• Manage local change programs to drive employee and business outcomes (e.g., increase productivity, drive career satisfaction) 
• Support the attraction, identification, development, retention and promotion of talent 
• Balance employee and business advocacy 
• In charge of overseeing all payroll entries and submissions. Reviews Payroll reports for accuracy, solve payroll issues and maintaining payroll operations by following local legal requirements. 
• Partner with Performance and Reward Manager/payroll when reporting incidents, terminations, off cycle payrolls, etc. 
• Responsible of leading and overseeing the day-to-day workforce relations to include ensuring that work environments and workplace practices promote a positive employee relations environment free of discrimination, harassment, or any form of unfair or unethical practice. 
• Assist the leadership team to drive initiatives and remain on the leading edge. Understand current environmental and economic issues and their impact on people. 
• Conducts investigations, site assessments (all related forms of complaints) that ensure objective evaluation and resolution of issues. 
• Provides management with collaborative consultation on sensitive or complex employee relations issues. 
• Reviews and monitor performance management process to ensure quality, timeliness and effectiveness for business. Assists with the need’s assessment and determination of management and leadership training for business area. 
• Provides management with collaborative consultation on sensitive or complex employee relations issues. 
• Partner with HR Director and Performance and Reward Manager to ensure competitive pay for internal and external hires as well as to manage the communication and execution of pay for performance methodology and other aspects of our compensation philosophy. 
• Partner with Talent Manager to implement appropriate change management, manager assimilation, team building and related tools and processes. Assimilate key talent into the organization. 
• Assists managers in the design of jobs and/or facilitate the identification of core competencies and skill requirements across the business area to ensure consistency. 
• Provides training and consulting in effective employee performance management practices including coaching, career development, and disciplinary actions. 
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of local legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, partnering with legal department as needed/required. Partner with legal department to attend, follow up and conclude disputes with former employees.
• Partner with Commercial department when incidents and terminations. 
• Responsible of local communication planning according to cluster. Updates local sites (INFORA) for retail and corporate employees. 
• Responsible of local HR budget planning based on year and expense report and further new stores. Responsible of collecting and monitoring LATAM budget spending. 
• Develops an effective partnership with assigned business clients through consultation on human resources strategic and operational issues as it relates to the business plan. 
• Partner with the HR Director in reviewing operating practices, procedures and projects, determine whether improvements can be made and work to implement changes as appropriate.
• Partner with Commercial and Finance department to determinate HC to be considered in budget.
• Assists and monitors compliance with legal requirements for local taxes payment.
• Collects and provides local information to prepare and present annual reports to the authority in terms of social security and housing fund. 

What is needed to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 to 8 years' experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including payroll, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws. 
• Previous successful management experience. 
• Extensive knowledge of human resources including organizational development, employee relations, litigation management and avoidance.
• Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality. Responsive to customer needs while maintaining professionalism, respect and consideration of others.
• Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors work to ensure quality.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and conflict management skills.
• Fluent English and Japanese
