Job Summary And Qualifications

The Director Imaging organizes, develops, and defines the administrative and technical functions of the department. The Director also ensures that protocol is carried out as given by the Medical Director and/or his designee. Other duties include being responsible for budgets, job descriptions, evaluations, and administrative directives needed for the operation of the Medical Imaging Department, ensuring compliance with all hospital and departmental regulations, acting upon non-compliance, role modeling for the department, and delivering high-quality, cost-effective patient services by technical/non-technical personnel. The Director ensures the Radiation Protection Program, including ALARA principles, is followed and supports all regulatory agencies, including DHEC, Joint Commission, ACR, and internal agencies.

Qualifications Needed

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT or NMTCB and SCRQSA and BLS required
• Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved school for Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine with Registration in either modality required
• Experience: 3+ years of supervisory experience required.
